The West Marin Community Thrift Store, a local institution since 1987, offers low-cost clothing and household items and a mechanism for recycling usable, quality merchandise. The store also provides employment with benefits to local residents. Follow us on Instagram for daily updates.
|100% of the profits are for local use — to residents with emergency needs, scholarships for child care, and other support of WMCS programs. The Store has provided over $700,000 to the community in individual and non-profit grants since its inception.|
Every day the Thrift Store receives boxes of fantastic merchandise, and we get it out fast! From clothing and jewelry to kitchenware and sporting equipment, you never know what kind of treasure you will unearth. Whether you need clothes for school, that perfect antique platter, a rare CD, or an emergency gift for Aunt Matilda, you’re likely to find your prize here.
How to contribute
Your donation of quality goods — gratefully accepted seven days a week during store hours — is what keeps us going. We need clothing, shoes, linens, curtains, kitchenware, jewelry, small furniture, toys, children’s books, cookbooks, CDs and DVDs, and decorative items.
We DO NOT accept computers, large appliances and furniture, mattresses, or TVs. Please make sure all items are clean, undamaged (no stains or tears), and in good usable condition.
And if you have some time to volunteer at this bustling community hub, we are often in need of cashiers. It’s a great way to meet new people while performing an important community service.
The Thrift Store is open every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 11431 Highway One (corner of Mesa Road) in Point Reyes Station.
